Outreach

One of the INSPIRE objectives is the progression and promotion of Ireland as a lead contributor to Nanoscience and Nanotechnology on an International scale.

To do this INSPIRE is looking at both near and long-term achievements and building the interest in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the ground up.

INSPIRE’s outreach plans will incorporate:

  • General Audience – helping to develop the public understanding of science and it’s benefits social and economical
  • Young Children - helping to develop an interest in science from a young age, through fun activities and interaction in the classroom
  • Teenagers – helping to identify the benefits of taking a career in Science
  • College Students – encouraging them to progress their career through the uptaking of PhD positions
  • Scientific and Industrial Audience – helping to identify Ireland as a home for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

INSPIRE outreach activities will include and support:

  • Public talks
  • Contributions to Public Audience Events (Talks, Information stands, etc)
  • Competitions
  • Primary & Secondary School Initiatives
  • Publication of Research Results in High Impact Journals
