Launch Workshop for Ultrafast Laser facility, 21 October 2009

This workshop, hosted by LightFORUM, will mark the official launch of the new Ultrafast Laser Processing facility at NCLA/LightHOUSE in NUI Galway. The facility houses state-of-the-art laser research technology and has been enabled through Inspire (Integrated Nanoscience Platform for Ireland, see www.inspirenano.com) under the Programme for Research in Third Level Institutions Cycle 4.
A number of talks specific to the new technology in NUI Galway will be delivered and a tour of the facility will show delegates the scale of facility that is now available to access. The range of mechanisms available to industry for accessing this facility and other research infrastructure in NUI Galway will also be detailed.
