Governance is led by the Oversight Board, consisting of the lead PI from each Partner and four external members.
The remit is as follows:
- Responsibility for assessing the success and benefit of the PRTLI4 funding
- Approval of additional partner institutes as well as industrial partners.
- Assessment of the performance and contribution of existing partners and the fostering of inter-institutional collaboration.
- Approval and guidance of the short and long term strategic objectives of INSPIRE.
- Responsibility to ensure that the INSPIRE and in particular the open access facilities are being managed in a manner consistent with best operational practices.
- Responsibility to ensure correct financial and governance controls are in place.
- Promotion of the public image and brand of INSPIRE and the development of a national shared graduate programme.
- Review of deliverables from the consortium including but not limited to the publication of peer reviewed scientific papers and the development of intellectual property
